Santorini Horse Riding Tours, Ride Through Volcanic Landscapes

The farm sits in Akrotiri, in the south of the island. From there, you ride out across volcanic countryside that looks closer to the moon than the Mediterranean: rust-coloured ridges, white pumice cliffs, the occasional whitewashed chapel. Routes include the blue dome of Saint Anna, the long black stretch of Almyra, and Vlychada beach with its wind-carved cliffs. Instructors stay with you the whole way and match the pace to your level. Beginners walk. Experienced riders can ask to canter on the sand.
