Santorini Tours, Ontdek het Eiland

Van helikoptervluchten tot wijnproeverijen.

Every Santorini excursion we run, in one place. We are a family agency based in Fira, EOT-licensed since 2000, and we sell direct — the price you see is the price, with no booking platform taking a cut in between.

Our private tours are priced per vehicle, not per person, for up to 8 passengers. That is the single biggest difference from the group day tours sold on the large booking sites: a family of five pays the same as a couple, and the itinerary is yours to change on the day.

Which Santorini tour should you pick?

The island is small but slow to drive, and the two halves are genuinely different. The north is the caldera — Oia, Imerovigli, Firostefani and the viewpoints. The south is archaeology, beaches and wine country. Three hours covers one half properly; a full day covers both without rushing.

Private tours vs group excursions

Group day tours are cheaper per head if you are travelling alone or as a couple on a tight budget, and there is nothing wrong with them. What you trade is timing: a coach arrives in Oia when its schedule says so, which in practice means arriving at the same moment as every other coach.

A private vehicle lets us invert that — the busy viewpoints early, the quiet ones at sunset, and lunch somewhere that is not built for fifty people at once. From three or four passengers upward the per-person cost is usually comparable anyway. We have written a longer, more honest comparison of private and group tours if you want the detail, and a breakdown of what a private tour actually costs.

What is not on this page

We would rather tell you than waste your time. We do not operate volcano boat trips, dive centres, guided hikes or vehicle hire — those belong to specialist operators and we will happily point you at them. What we do run is everything on land plus the boats we book through our sailing partner. If you are researching the activities we do not sell, our guides to the volcano and hot springs and the Fira to Oia hike are written from local experience and sell you nothing.

Santorini excursion questions

How much do Santorini excursions cost?
Our private tours run from €220 for three hours to €400 for a full day, priced per vehicle for up to 8 passengers rather than per person. Wine tasting is from €100 per person and horse riding from €70 per person.
How many tours can you fit into one day?
Comfortably one substantial tour plus something on the water. A common pattern is a morning catamaran cruise and an afternoon private tour finishing at a sunset viewpoint. Trying to stack three separate excursions into a day usually means enjoying none of them.
Are your tours private or shared?
The bus tours and shore excursions are fully private — your vehicle, your driver, your itinerary. Wine tasting is available as either a semi-private group of up to 8 or fully private. Catamaran cruises are shared or private charter.
Do you pick up from hotels?
Yes, and it is included on every private tour — hotel, villa, the JTR airport, Athinios port or the Fira cable car for cruise arrivals. Oia and Fira have pedestrianised centres, so pickup is at the nearest vehicle access point.
What is the best excursion for a first visit?
A 5-hour private tour if you have one day, split north or south depending on whether you want caldera villages or archaeology and beaches. If you have two days, add a catamaran cruise — seeing the caldera from the water is what makes the geology click.
Can you customise the itinerary?
That is the point of booking direct. Tell us what interests you and what you want to skip, and we will build the day around it. Our drivers also adjust on the day for wind, cruise-ship schedules and where the crowds happen to be.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to four weeks in July and August; a few days is usually fine in shoulder season. Helicopter flights need at least 48 hours and are weather-dependent.
