Duration 36 hours
1st Day Leave Athens and drive South West until we reach the Corinth Canal which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea (short stop). Drive on and visit the Ancient Town of Corinth, where St. Paul lived and reached for two years.
The remains of the City, which include the Agora (market place) and Apollo?s Temple (6th century B.C.) clearly show how rich and important Corinth was in Ancient Times. A short stop at the site of the Ancient Port of Cehries, where St. Paul disembarked, will conclude the visit. At noon we will stop in Cehries (in a local tavern) for lunch (not included in the price). After lunch we will continue to Delphi , after 2 hours drive we will arrive at Delphi , Dinner at the hotel and overnight.
2nd Day , after breakfast we will visit CASTALIA SPRING, visit at the archaeological site the TEMPLE of APOLLO, famous for its oracle and the MUSEUM of Delphi, with its spectacular finds, including the bronze Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx and the Statue of Antinoos.
After lunch, in a local taverv,( not included in the price ) return to Athens via the picturesque mountain village of ARACHOVA (short stop), built on the south slopes of Parnassos, well known for its attractive hand-woven carpets, rugs and quilts, as well as for its wine and cheese. Arrive in Athens at 19:00.
